Boston, MA (March 28, 2011) - Catelas today announced that its solution was now being used extensively in the area of FCPA regulatory enquiries and internally-lead investigations.
Catelas imports and analyzes electronic communications data, such as email, Instant Messaging and electronic telephony from systems such as Microsoft Exchange Servers, Lotus Notes and VoIP systems. By automatically identifying communication links between employees and between employees and non-employees, developing timelines for when the communications occurred and then applying sophisticated algorithms score and rank each of these communication links, Catelas can quick and easily identify key custodians for eDiscovery and "persons of interest" for Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and security investigations.
"Often with investigations that involve a company's international operations, the company is not certain exactly who is involved, how systemic the problem may or may not be and whether there is a problem at all," stated Eddie Cogan, CEO of Catelas. "Furthermore, companies can spend huge amounts of money flying investigators all around the world, sometime to no avail. Catelas is able to quickly uncover the key players involved, the scope of the problem (if any) and provide investigators with critical interview preparation, all before anyone embarks on a plane", added Mr. Cogan.
